Grants and Development Manager

My position manages all of Youth Homes’ and Partnership for Children’s grant and reporting deadlines and writes 90% of our applications. In calendar year 2020 and 2021, I brought in $1,062,504.06 in grants alone. I've learned so much from the Development Team, which I help to bring in over a million dollars a year.

In my first two and a half years in the position, I increased the amount of money we fundraised through grants by 15% and secured $72,500 in new grants.

During the pandemic, I taught writing lessons in our homes to alleviate line staff and turned the kids' work into a collaborative publication with the Free Verse Writing Project. This project led to several galleries and readings, which were covered by the local press and expanded Youth Homes' reach into the arts and literary communities.

At Youth Homes, I get to ring cowbells with the kids as our marathon team runs by, fulfill their Christmas wishes, and work with remarkable people. I'm so grateful.
